Alice was born April 6, 1927, in Canon de Las Manuelitas, Sapello, NM to Manuel and Manuelita Padilla. She was five years old when her mother passed away. She and her two younger siblings Jose & Viviana Padilla were raised by their father Manuel Padilla and their two aunts Cleotilde and Rita Padilla at an early age she also took care of her siblings and grew up to be a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, great and great-great grandmother. She will forever live in our hearts and be remembered for the caring and loving person that she was. Alice married Levi Alcon on December 15, 1945, shortly after he got out of the service. They were blessed with five children: Idine Michalski (Nick); Jo Ann Alcon-Ortiz (Tommy); Eddy Alcon (Jeanette); Diane Medrano (Roland); Levi Jr. Alcon (Yvette).Alice and Levi celebrated 67 years of marriage before he passed away in 2013.

Alice was a faithful Christian and member of the Cleveland Church of Christ. She was a wonderful cook and always had her kitchen open for whoever walked in the door. A warm cup of coffee and a good meal no one could resist. Her red chile was the best as well as her touch with her chopped green chile. Alice loved flowers and her plants were always beautiful, she enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, sewing, making ceramics and artwork. Alice's father was a carpenter, and she helped him built the house that she raised her family in until she took her last breath. Most of all she loved having the family over on Sundays and holidays and cooking for them. There was not a Sunday that her house was not full of family; and, we always wondered how everyone ate a good meal and there were still leftovers.

Mom (Gramma Alice) will be deeply missed by all her family, she lived a good life, was a beautiful lady, and is now resting in peace. We "Thank our Dear Lord for giving her 95years of life." "A Special Thank You" to her youngest son Levi Alcon Jr and his wife Yvette for the care and attention that they both gave to mom as she aged and became ill. Thank you to Amber Care for the great care you provided to our mother. Rest in Peace Mom," Gramma Alice." You will always be remembered as one of the strongest most loving & caring ladies of our family; the "Matriarch of our family."
