Alvin J. Vasquez, age 46, a beloved son, father, and grandfather, went to join the Lord on August 15,2023. Alvin was born on February 22, 1977, in Denver, Colorado.

Alvin was a lifelong catholic of St. Gertrude Church. He was a jack of all trades from being a truck driver, a plumber, to being a bank accountant. He really enjoyed plowing snow with his tractor, bailing hay, and spending time with family and friends. Regardless of any struggles or hardships, he always lived life to the fullest, and would brighten anyone's day with his smile. His compassion and humbleness will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Damian and Cenaida Pacheco, Celedonio Vasquez and Frances Mondragon, Sam and Adlina Martinez, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is survived by his Mother, Cathy Pacheco (Stepfather Kenny) from Las Aguitas; Father, Eddie Vasquez (stepmother Laura) from Espanola; four children, Austin Vasquez, Brandi (Micheal) Hamm, Ashlyn Vasquez, and stepdaughter Felisha Mae (Mario) Olivas; Sisters, Lisa (David) Gallegos, and Crystal (Brandon) Gallegos; Brother, Adam Vasquez; Lifelong partner, Rita Sandoval; six grandchildren, many family and friends.

Rosary will be recited on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Gertrude Church in Mora, NM. The funeral mass will be on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gertrude Church in Mora, NM with Fr. Dale Craig, S.O.L.T. officiating.

Burial will follow at the Monte Aplanado Santo Niño Cemetery serving as Pallbearers; Raymond Salcido, Adam Vasquez, Ernesto Olivas, Armieudo Bustos, Kiko Valdez, and Alfredo Sanchez. Honorary pallbearers Grandchildren (Mario Samuel, Marianna, Manuel, Marissa, Mattea, and Maziah).
