Andrella Camelia Chavez unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at the age of 21.

Andrella "Lela", as everyone knew her as, was born in Las Vegas, New Mexico on May 29, 2002, raised in Anton Chico. Lela was a 2020 graduate of Santa Rosa High.
Andrella is proceeded in death by her great grandfather and great grandmother John and Esther Langley, her Tia Darlene Lucero, grandfather Rudy Gomez, Leroy "uncle pollo" Lucero, and cousin John Gabriel Langley.
Lela is survived by her 2 year old son, Cirilo John Muniz, boyfriend Bruce Muniz, mother and stepfather Judith and Carlos Baca and father Andrew Chavez; brother Andrew "Bird" Chavez, sister in law Dominique Chavez, nephews Jose Reyes Chavez, Santos "Rudy" Chavez, and niece Aniceta Chavez; her sister Sydney Chavez, sister Jaydith Chavez and brother Jonas Baca.

Lela was unintentionally good at everything she tried, she played basketball and volleyball for the Anton Chico Tigers in middle school and she was the heat on the court, also involved in Mesa, and Innoventure. She was involved in Youth Advisory Group, Mesa, and Softball in high school. Lela loved being a mom, she was the best mom to her baby boy Cirilo. She was an amazing cowgirl at her "happy place" in La Loma, ranching, riding horses, running barrels, sticking them steers and burros. She loved the adrenaline rush. She loved being around her friends and family, having a good time, cracking jokes. Lela had a smile and laugh that would immediately put a smile on your face, with such a giving heart. She will be so very missed by everyone who was lucky enough to cross paths with her.

A rosary will be recited Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at 6:00 PM. A funeral mass will be taking place Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the San Jose Catholic Church in Anton Chico, NM. Interment will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Dilia, NM. Serving as pallbearers will be Santiago Romero, Julian Lucero, Jacob Lucero, Ryan Wagner, Francisco Mondragon, Adrian Hern, Domingo Villanueva, and Richard Martinez. Honorary pallbearers, Cara Pacheco, Elyssa Lucero, Frankie Mondragon, Sammy Coca, Nicolas Maestas, Alcario Nieto, Matthew Peralta, Vicente Cordova, Prudy Villanueva and the Santa Rosa class of 2020.
