Angie moved with her family to Colorado at the age of 2 years and ultimately settled in Denver. Being the oldest sibling, after completing the 8th grade, she had to quit school and join the workforce to help her parents support her family. She worked at Elite Laundry Services and La Bonita Restaurant. During this time, her mother tragically died from cancer, leaving Angie to help raise her younger siblings. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic School. She was also a life-long member of Sacred Heart Parish.

In 1960, she met the love of her life, Elias Martinez and married him on February 14th, 1961. They made their home in Denver, Colorado, where they raised their 3 children. She was a loving mother, who dedicated her life to her husband and children. Angie also set an example of achievement and excellence for her family by overcoming obstacles and obtaining her GED, then securing the position of Bilingual Educational Assistant for Denver Public Schools. She and Elias also ran a small family business of a special event parking lot for many years. In 1977, they re-located to Mora, New Mexico, where they gave their children the experience of a small town life. Angie missed Denver dearly, after her children finished high school, she and Elias returned to Denver. They continued to run the family business until 1999, when they retired and returned to Mora, NM. They built a house in Guadalupita, NM in 2000, and she resided there, until her death.

Angie loved her family very much, her greatest joy was seeing her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her tender heart, compassion and love of family are her legacy that will keep her alive and remembered by future generations. Her hobbies included: playing the slot machines at the casinos, sewing, 2nd hand shopping and gardening. In particular, her love for flowers. Prior to her passing, in a dream, Angie felt the presence of our Lord, where He revealed to her beautiful colors that she had never seen before. She was a true child of God. Angie's Faith in our Lord gives her family peace in knowing that she is happy and healthy in her heavenly paradise. Angie will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
