Antonia Ulalia "Lala" Coca 86 passed away peacefully at home, following an extended illness, surrounded by her loving family on May 19, 2024. She was born on August 7, 1937 in Los Ojos "Hot Springs", New Mexico.
Antonia is preceded in death by her loving husband, Dr. Benjamin Coca; Parents, Nabora Encinias, Antonio Lovato and Damacio Maestas; Brothers, Secundino Lovato & Jose Maestas; Brothers-In-Law, Juan Troncoso and Eddie Vigil, Lorenzo Coca and Antonio E. Coca, father and mother –in-law Charlie and Antonia Coca.
She is survived by her Siblings, Santiago Lovato (Jessie); Rosie Troncoso; Annie Liges (Fidel); Frances "Kika" Vigil; Lucy Camarillo; Gloria Hernandez (Lalo); & Richard "Rick" Maestas (Roberta "Berta"); Sisters-In-Law, Ruth Lovato and Cecilia Escudero (David).
She is also survived by her Children, Carlos Coca (Theresa); Gilbert Coca (Karen); Danny Coca (Kathy); Deborah Leija; Andrea Padilla (Gary); Grandchildren, Diego Coca (Jasmine); Brittany Leon (Eddie); Angelica Salazar (Alyssa); Leroy Salazar; Moises & Miguel Coca; Michelle Varela; Alyssa Sena (Travis); Great Grandchildren, Andres Lopez; Jonathan Valdez; Brian Padilla; Mariah Padilla; Raymond Leon; Marcus Leon; Greyson Goku Salazar; Grace Salazar; Raelynn Salazar; Andres Gonzales (Melissa); Addie Sena and numerous loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and many friends,Special Friends, Angie Baca; Frances & Lydia Gonzales; Modesta Macy; and James & Dolores Maestas.
Antonia retired with 34 Years of Service as Dietary Manager at Northeastern Regional Hospital and 9 Years as a Substitute Cook at Las Vegas City Schools. She enjoyed her beautiful flowers and gardening; watching Wheel of Fortune, Judge Judy, Tvynovelas and was a devout listener of the Rosary. She was a hardcore Denver Bronco Fan and was the host of many Super Bowl Parties, which she greatly enjoyed. She always enjoyed her visits with all her family and friends.
Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be conducted on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. with Rev. Rob Yaksich as celebrant, both services will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM.
Interment will follow at Jesus, Maria y Jose Cemetery in Montezuma, NM with the following serving as Pallbearers, Diego Coca; Gary Padilla; Eddie Leon; Andres Lopez; Andres Gonzales; Moises Coca; Miguel Coca; & Leroy Salazar; Honorary Pallbearers, Richard "Rick" Maestas; Angelica Salazar; Jonathan Valdez; Brian Padilla; Mariah Padilla; Raymond Leon; Marcus Leon, Alyssa Sena; Brittany Leon; & Michelle Varela.
