Antonio "Tony" Sostenes Valencia, from Pecos, NM, passed away May 5, 2022at his residence in Los Montoya's, NM. Antonio was born in Santa Fe August 27, 1954 and raised in Colonias, NM. He attended JobCorp and spent many years working as a rock mason. He was employed by Pecos Kid Construction and spoke with joy of the years he worked in with his friend Jessie Romero. Tony loved being outdoors with his rocks, or fishing and spent his last years working on his own yard and helping his friends and neighbors in Pecos. If there was a job for Tony he would get it done. His pride and joy was his granddaughter Isabella. Antonio is preceded in death by: his parents Bartolo and Julia Valencia; companion and mother of his daughter, Maria Guadalupe Garcia; Siblings: Betty Jean Valencia, Floyd Valencia, Joe Valencia, and Eleanor Valencia; step-children: Marie Isabel Sandoval and Joe Christopher Garcia; nephew T.J. Quintana, and niece Audrey Ortiz. He is survived by: his Daughter Victoria Garcia Montoya and wife Jessica; step-daughter Rosie Archibeque and husband Jake; Grandchildren: His Pooh Bear, Isabella Benita Garcia, Maria Sandoval and George Vigil, Georgia Vigil, and Thomas Vigil; Brothers: Danny Valencia and wife Yolanda, Magin Valencia and wife Carol, Lorenzo Valencia and wife Rose, Frank Valencia, and Andrew Valencia; Sisters: Gayla Quintana and husband Tino, Pearla Hernandez, and Mary Valencia. He was a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews, special note of Godson Matthew Valencia, nieces Rhonda Rivera and Barbara Jean Gallegos, and Great Nephew Josiah "Indio" Hernandez. He loved all his family, friends, and employers, always bringing gifts for their yards as thank you for being in his life. Arrangements have been made with Rogers Mortuary in Las Vegas, NM. Floral Arrangements may be made with any flower shop in Las Vegas. Rosary will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at 10:00am with Funeral Mass to follow at St. Anthony Church in Pecos, NM,  with burial of cremated remains to take place in Colonias, NM at a future date.
