Arturo Montoya 89 passed away June 11 at his home in Los Montoya's, New Mexico with his family at his side. Arturo is preceded in death by wife Dorinda his parents Reyes and Mercedes Montoya, siblings Sigifredo, David and sister Adella Gonzales. Arturo loved and cherished his wife for 64 years and loved his children dearly.

Arturo is survived by his children Mary Alice Barela, Frances (Daryl) Vigil, Mary Ann (Darrell) Schultz, Fernando (Susan) Montoya, Arturo Jr (Donna) Montoya, Corrine, Nick, Steve and Reyes Montoya.

He was blessed with 14 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

Arturo had six siblings and numerous nieces and nephews

He was a United States Army Veteran and retired from the Pueblo Army Depot with 37 years of service. He was a Pershing Missile technician at the Depot and was proud of the work he and his co-workers did in his department.

A Rosary will be held Tuesday June 21, 2022 at 7:00 pm and a Catholic Mass June 22, 2022 at 9:00 am at Our Lady of Sorrows in Las Vegas, NM. The Funeral Mass will be live streamed at www.oloslasvegas.org

Interment to follow at San Antonio Cemetery in Los Montoya's, NM. with the following serving as pallbearers: Fernando, Arturo Jr, Steven, Reyes, Nick, Joshua, Moses Montoya.
