**Matriarch of Salazar Family**

Benigna Romero, the matriarch of the Salazar family, passed away on September 20, 2023.

In her journey through life, Benigna overcame hardships and made significant sacrifices, all in the name of love and family. Her devotion was evident in the way she raised her beloved son and in the warmth with which she embraced her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, love, and unwavering commitment.

Benigna is preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Filomena Salazar, her husband, Luis Romero, her sister, Pablita Trujillo, her sister, Deluvina Encinias, her brother, Petrolino Salazar, her brother, Tomas Salazar, and, most recently, by her daughter-in-law, Inez Salazar, whom she joined in eternal rest just two days apart.

She is survived by her son, Rudy Salazar, her sister, Esquipulita Encinias, her brother, Jose Armando Salazar, and his wife, Angela, her brother, Jimmy Salazar, and his wife, Patsy, as well as her grandchildren:

- Martin Salazar and wife Theresa

- Manuel Salazar and wife Michelle

- Andrea Yee and husband Eric

Benigna's love extended to her 22 great-grandchildren, who will forever be touched by her warmth and kindness.

**Funeral and Rosary Details:**

A rosary service to celebrate Benigna Romero's life will be held on Thursday, September 28, at 7:00 P.M. in Our Lady of Sorrows Church, located at 403 Valencia Street, Las Vegas, NM 87701.

The funeral mass will take place on Friday, September 29, at 9:00 AM at the same location, followed by a burial service at Sena Cemetery.
