Benny Gallegos from San Juan, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, was called home to see our Lord on January 11, 2026 surrounded by his loving family at his family home.

Benny was a lifelong Catholic and active member of the Catholic Church where he served as mayordomo of San Juan mission for many years. He worked for the NM Game and Fish Department where he retired after 27.5 years of service. He loved working on his backhoe, never hesitating to help anyone in need. Benny will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years Feliz Gallegos, his loving parents Rogelio and Beneranda Gallegos, loving sons Joseph and Jeffery Gallegos, loving granddaughters Letisha Gallegos and Angela Romero, sisters Tillie Gonzales, Cecilia Romero, Betty Hernandez, Lisa Pena, brother Richard Gallegos; sisters-in-law Lila Aguilar, Nancy Lucero, Flora Gallegos and Pauline Baca; brothers-in-law Gilbert Montoya, Benny Gonzales and William Ortiz.

He is survived by his children Randy (Pam), Johnny (Carla), Dorothy, Robert (Ange), (Jackie), Benny Jr. (Rita), Doris and Brian (Brenda); brother Louie; sisters-in-law Norella and Rose (Everette); brothers-in-law Jose Pena and Gabino Baca; 30 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Rosary will be recited at 9 AM  at St Anthony's Catholic church in Pecos, New Mexico; funeral mass will be celebrated at the conclusion of the rosary on January 24, 2026. Interment will follow at the San Juan cemetery where he will be laid to rest with the following Serving as Urn bearers Randall Gallegos, Johnny Gallegos Jr., Allen Perea, Leon Gallegos, Deanza Gallegos, Alisha Lujan, Felishia Romero and Brooke Gallegos.
