Berna has gone to be with the Lord following a sudden illness. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathereen Garcia; mom, Mary Trujillo; brothers, Bobby Trujillo and Victor Trujillo; grandparents, Jose & Bernie Trujillo.

She leaves behind her fiancé, Gerald Lopez; daughters, Amy Garcia and Samantha Garcia; four grandchildren, Amor & Shannon Silva, Angel & Luciano Lovato; brother, Johnny (Matilda) Trujillo; sister, Brenda (Guillermo) Padilla and special friend Janice Trujillo.

Services will be on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church beginning with a Rosary at 9:00 am to be followed by Mass of Christian burial. Interment will follow Mass at San Jose Cemetery in Las Vegas, NM. A reception will follow at Smiling Faces Restaurant.
