Bernadette was 63 years old when she joined our Lord on Saturday September 30, 2023. She was born on March 18, 1960 to Tony and Emily Romero in Mora, NM.

She is preceded in death by her father, Tony Romero and god-father Celestino Sandoval and many other family members.

She is survived by her mother Emily Romero, husband Rogelio Loya, children Sergio Garcia(Sara), Alicia Lerma, Transito Luna(Jackie), 7 grandchildren and 2 great-granddaughters.

Rosary service will be on Monday, October 9, 2023 at 9:30am funeral mass will follow both services will be at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Mora, NM with Father Dale Craig as celebrant.
Interment will follow at San Antonio Cemetery in Cleveland, NM with the following serving as pallbearers Transito Luna, Mark Ocaña, Enrique Gonzalez, Isaac Alejo, Rene Rodriguez-Loya and Brian Suarez. Honorary pallbearers will be Sergio Garcia, Raymond Lerma and Rick Sandoval.
