Bernilda Marrujo

On Friday, April 3rd, 2026, Bernilda Marrujo, “Grannie B” a longtime resident of El Carmen, NM (Las Quebraditas Valley) went to be with our Lord surrounded by the love of her family.

She was born on March 18, 1941 in Penasco Blanco, NM to Patrocino Gomez and Clara Sanchez Gomez. She was a life-long Catholic and a member of St. Gertrude Church in Mora, NM., She was a devout Catholic, who prayed her rosary daily and prayed for all the members of her family, living and deceased. She was a member of the Alter Society. She loved ranching side-by-side with her husband Gregorio and her son Marty. She found great joy watching her great grandchildren, each and every one of them. She loved taking care of her flowers and enjoyed cooking and gardening.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Patrocino Gomez and Clara Sanchez Gomez: her Husband Gregorio Marrujo Jr.; Daughter Marie Marrujo; Sister, Josie Mascarenas.

Bernilda is survived by her daughter, Dolores Vigil (Juan) from Las Vegas NM: Son, Marty Marrujo (Elena) from Las Quebraditas, NM; Daughter Eileen Marrujo (Leonard) from Santa Fe, NM.; Grandchildren: Kenny Vigil (Melissa), Dale Vigil (late wife Cheryl), Sandy Gonzales(Gabriel), MiQuela F. Gutierrez(Mike), Santiana Marrujo(Austin), Natalia Marrujo (Reyes); DJ Duran ,James Duran and Brandon and Brian Lucero: Great Grandchildren: Benito, Mateo, Angelica, Diegomarcos and Ariana Vigil; Jacob, Carlos, Joshua and Cody Gonzales; Luna Rose and Michael James Gutierrez; Luciano Marrujo and Felicity Marrujo-Credeur; Lily Lovato, Brooke and Hailey Duran; Special Nephews Josiah Gomez and Seth Gomez: Brothers: Silvano Gomez(Joann), Jerry Gomez, both from Penasco Blanco, NM; Mike Gomez( Joyce) from Albuquerque, NM, Pauline Gomez and Ramoncita Gomez from Santa Fe, NM; and Patsy Vigil(Rick) from Albuquerque, NM.

Rosary service will be recited on Monday, April 13th, 2026 at 7:00 p.m., Funeral Mass will be conducted on Tuesday, April 14th, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. with both services to be held at St. Gertrude’s Church in Mora, N.M., with Father Dale Craig S.O.L.T as celebrant. Interment will follow at El Carmen Cemetery in El Carmen, NM with the following serving as Pallbearers: James Duran, Benito Vigil, Mateo Vigil, Austin Montoya, Mike Gutierrez, Josiah Gomez, Luciano Marrujo and Reyes Leyba. A reception to follow at the Mora VFW. All who knew and loved Bernilda are welcomed to attend and celebrate her life. Grannie B will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
