Bertha Fern Parks, age 78, was born in Demmit, TX to Ira Height and Frances Cox.

Bertha was a loving wife, mom and grandma. She enjoyed funny movies, fishing and sportes. Her favorite team is the Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bulls.

Bertha met her husband Melvin Lee Park in December 1963. On June 16, 1964, they were married in Portales, New Mexico. Their marriage produced one child Stacy Lee Park and one grandchild Jasmine Grace Park.

Bertha was a devout christian and member of East Drive Baptist located in Las Vegas, New Mexico. A very special thanks you to Hope P. Gallegos. She took care of Bertha for years and always made for sure she was clean and fed. Bertha's best friend Rosalina for visiting and sending cards in the mail. Last a special thank you to Jesse Jaramillo, Naomi, and Judy at Vida Encantada for their care.

A burial service will be on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony's Cemetery.

Arrangements are entrusted and under the care of Rogers Mortuary.
