Betty C. Romero 67, passed away on Sunday September 18, 2022 in Buena Vista, NM.

Betty was a longtime resident of Cleveland, NM. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She loved to cook, bake and take long walks.

She was born in Ojo Feliz, NM on June 27, 1955 to Alfredo Fernandez and Maclovia Bernal. She is preceded in death by her father Alfredo Fernandez, mother Maclovia Bernal, her husband David Romero, brothers Phil Fernandez, Albino Fernandez, Frank Fernandez, Alfredo Fernandez Jr., nephew Matthew Armijo, niece and God- daughter Clarabella Fernandez.

She is survived by her daughter Shavahn Romero (Luis), grandchildren Luis Davi, Jesus and Divina all of Kremmling, CO, her brothers George Fernandez (Erlinda) of Cleveland, NM, James Fernandez (Susie), Pete Fernandez, Lawrence Fernandez, all of Los Hueros, NM, Michael Fernandez (Jaeme) of Guadalupita, Patrick Fernandez (JoAnn) of Los Hueros, sisters Mary Grace Sanchez (Orlando) of Kremmling, Co, Bertha Martinez (Jimmy) of Buena Vista, NM, Linda Trujillo (Danny) of Cleveland, NM, Janet Fernandez of Las Vegas, NM, Sister-in-laws Cecilia Marquez of Raton, NM, Shirley Fernandez of Cleveland, NM, Brother-in-law Margarito Romero of Cleveland, NM, sister-in-laws, Ida Romero, Anna Duran, Martha Sandoval all of Denver, CO., Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Rosary will be recited on Thursday September 22, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. at Rogers Chapel at Rogers Mortuary 600 Raynolds Avenue Las Vegas, NM 87701

Funeral Mass will be conducted on Friday September 23, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gertrude Church in Mora, NM with Father Paul Grala S.O.L.T serving as celebrant.

Interment will follow at San Antonio Cemetery in Cleveland, NM. With the following serving as Pallbearers Anthony Martinez, Gabriel Branchal, Ruben Fernandez, Daniel Trujillo, Jody Armijo and Max Romero. Honorary Pallbearers  will be Jaime Martinez, Marquise Martinez and all 3 of her grandchildren Luis Davi, Jesus and Divina.
