Carlos "Monster" Cde Baca, age 83, was called home on August 23, 2025 following a brief illness. He was born on October 8, 1941 in Loma Parda NM to Amada Stines.
His passion was being a truck driver where he proudly drove for Sierra Transit, Franken Oil and Olivas Trucking. He was a truck driver for 38 years.
He was preceded in death by his mother Amada Stines, stepfather John Stines, brothers Robert Cde Baca and Benito Cde Baca, sister Diane Vigil and grandson Joshua Cooper.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Adela Cde Baca, his children Charlie Cde Baca Jr (Diane), Lisa Roan (Tim), Anthony Pacheco (Sharon), Carla Roybal (Kenny), Amy and his "adopted daughter" Janet Stoddard and sister Lucy Romo (Clarence).
He is also survived by his grandchildren Louis Lucero (Cami), Nathan Cde Baca (Lili), Desiree Dominguez (Demetrius), Ashley Pacheco (Jason), Clarissa Valdez, Fabian Lewis, Mykayla Lewis, Lily Herrera and his consentida, Marleigh Cde Baca, great grandchildren Beckham Garcia, Richard, Andres and Javier Garcia and Adonis Dominguez.
He is survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and family but he was especially close to his nieces Louise Moreno and Christine Schwartz, previous daughter-in-law Michelle Cooper and his compadre and best friend Donald Gallegos (Alice).
Rosary devotional services will be conducted Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 9:00 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church followed by the funeral mass. Interment will be at the family cemetery in Loma Parda with the following as urn bearers: Charlie Cde Baca JR, Anthony Pacheco and Donald Gallegos.
