It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carlos (Boy) Dominguez. Carlos passed away peacefully at his home in Las Vegas New Mexico on June 22nd, 2023. He was a beloved brother, uncle, brother-in-law, cousin, and friend to many.
Carlos is proceeded in death by his father Manuel Dominguez, Biological Mother Margarita Ramirez Dominguez. Brothers Arturo Dominguez and Joaquin Dominguez. Maternal Grand Parents who helped raise him Natividad and Jose Maria Ramirez. Uncles Rosendo Dominguez, Roberto and Reyes Ramirez and Aunts Rosita, Elena, and Jane Ramirez.
Carlos is survived by his Mother Mercedes Dominguez of Portales NM, eldest sister Guadalupe and husband Steve Montoya of Chapelle NM, sister Rita and husband Socorro Calderon of Portales NM, sister Margret and Husband Humberto Gomez of Portales NM, sister Elvira Dominguez and partner Ever Mendoza of Portales NM, sister Sabina Dominguez and partner Rudy Vargas of Portales NM. Brothers Manuel Dominguez and wife Connie of Tecolote NM. Martin Dominguez of Portales NM, and brother Juan Luis and wife Debra Dominguez of Portales NM. Carlos is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, other family members, and friends.
Carlos Dominguez was born in Portales NM on May 14th, 1960, and was raised in Villanueva NM. He attended West Las Vegas High School and after graduating got his degree in Engineering. He went on to be an Engineering Technician and Certified Water Operator for the City of Las Cruces. Carlos later moved to Northern New Mexico residing in Chapelle and later in Las Vegas. Carlos had a successful Handy Man Business. He always went above and beyond for all his customers. Carlos had his regulars that would call on him for all their household repair and upgrade needs. He was very dependable and always put others first. Carlos also enjoyed remodeling apartments for his landlord, fishing, visiting with family and friends, and going to the flea market on Saturdays. Carlos also enjoyed watching NASCAR and NFL football. He was a Packers and Raiders fan. Carlos Dominguez will be missed by many!
Rosary services will be held on Sunday July 2nd, 2023 at 5:00 PM and Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday July 3rd, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Villanueva. Carlos will be laid to rest in Villanueva New Mexico with the following serving as Pallbearers, Nicholas J Montoya, Estevan Montoya Jr, Enrique Montoya, Juan Luis Dominguez, Martin Dominguez, Humberto Gomez, Ray Sanchez Carli Encinias and Hank Bustos.
