Carlos J. Montoya, age 28, a lifetime resident of Las Vegas, NM, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at his residence in Las Vegas, NM.
He was born on August 3, 1986 in Las Vegas, NM to Michael R. Montoya and Anna M. Garcia.
A Catholic, and a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM.
He is preceded in death by his father; Michael R. Montoya and paternal grandmother; Maria Elena Montoya.
He is survived by his daughter; Cierra Jade Montoya and her mother; Rita Raya both of Las Vegas, NM; mother: Anna M. Garcia; brothers: Steven E. Montoya (Brianna Lopez); Raymond M. Montoya all of Las Vegas, NM; paternal grandfather: Carlos Montoya of Las Vegas, NM; aunts: Ruby Lovato and husband Frank of Las Vegas, NM; Gloria Gallegos and husband Willie of Watrous, NM; uncles: Tommy Gallegos and wife Gloria of Mora, NM; Benny Garcia and wife Lillian of Las Vegas, NM; cousins: Charlene Lopez and husband Carlos, Eric Lovato, Roberta Lovato, Trini Gallegos, Shanise Gallegos, Tommy Gallegos and Daniel Gallegos; close friend; Daniel Abeyta; numerous: aunts and uncles, other cousins and many friends.
Rosary services will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 7:00pm at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 5, 2014 at 9:00am also at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with Father Douglas Mitchell as Celebrant. Interment will follow at San Jose Cemetery in Las Vegas, NM with the following serving as Casket bearers: Steven E. Montoya, Raymond M. Montoya, Daniel Abeyta, Anthony Baca, Francisco Gallegos and Mario Mendoza. Honorary bearers will be all his remaining cousins and friends.
