Carlos R. Martinez, age 72, a longtime resident of Las Vegas, NM passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at his home in Las Vegas, NM.
He was born on October 24, 1945 in Las Vegas, NM to his parents Antonio Martinez and Eugenia Jimenez Martinez.
Carlos served in the United States Army as a PVT E2 from August 29, 1962 to February 28, 1963. He also worked for the Los Alamos Laboratories as a Technician.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Antonio and Eugenia Martinez, and brother: Tony Martinez.
He is survived by his brothers and sister; Clifford Ulibarri of Rio Rancho, NM; George Ulibarri of Denver, Colorado; Herman Martinez and wife teddy Hernandez of Bernalillo, NM; and Marie Gomez and husband Albert of Brandon, Florida; other relatives and many friends.
Cremation has taken place.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 9:00 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM with Father Rob Yaksich as celebrant. Burial of cremains will be held at a later date.
