Carmen Jo Silva of Thornton, Colorado died on August 31, 2026. Carmen was born on July 15, 1960, to Ramon and Josie Gallegos in Las Vegas, New Mexico. Carmen married Jose Silva Sr. on August 6, 1977. Carmen enjoyed working at Holy Cross Catholic Church as a receptionist, reading, visiting with friends and spending time with her family, and two granddaughters. Carmen is survived by her spouse Jose Silva Sr., son Joe (Gina)Silva Jr., granddaughters Avrie Silva, Riley Silva, brother Juan (Debbie) Gallegos and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Ramon Gallegos, mother Josie Gallegos, son Christopher Silva, grandson Adam Silva, sisters Elfie Medina, Helen Pino and brothers Steve Gallegos, Ramon Gallegos Jr., Roy Gallegos, and Mario Gallegos. Services in Thronton, Colorado will be at Holy Cross Catholic Church on September 10, 2026, beginning with the Rosary at 10:30 a.m. And mass at 11 a.m. Services in Las Vegas, New Mexico will be on September 16, 2026, with the Rosary at 9 a.m. and the funeral mass to follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Interment will follow at El Campo Santo del Santo Niño de Atocha with the following serving as pallbearers: Alberto Talamantes, Elias Pacheco, Fred Talamantes, James Jaramillo, Ramon Pacheco, and Vicente Jaramillo.
