Perla Catherine (Cathy) Aragon, 67, of Las Cruces, NM departed this life for her eternal life at Memorial Medical Center, Las Cruces, NM on January 29, 2025.

Cathy was a Graduate of Robertson High School, Las Vegas, NM.  Cathy previously participated and won medals in bowling, swimming and went on field trips in Special Olympics.  She loved to tell stories, going for car rides, coloring, making puzzles, doing craft projects, listening to music, cooking and enjoying in engaging conversation with friends and family. As a member of Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church in Las Cruces, NM, she sang in the church choir every Sunday.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents Fernando C. Aragon, Jr. and Eva L. Aragon.

She will be missed by those who remain behind; her sisters Mary Fulton, Connie Hernandez (Roy), Carmella Lee (Weston); her brothers Eloy Aragon (Frances), Ruben Aragon; sister-in-law, Melody, numerous nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to her caregivers, therapists, doctors, Yvonne Mouchette and Staff of TLC Medical Clinic, Dr. Rama and Staff of Rio Grande Oncology, Staff of Lessons of Life and Sun Country Case Management and Medical Staff at Memorial Medical Center.

The Funeral Service was held Friday, February 21, 2025, beginning at 10AM with a viewing, a rosary at 10:30AM followed by the Memorial Mass at 11AM, presided by Rev. Gino Wilcox at Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church, 5035 Holsome Road, Las Cruces, NM 88011.

The Graveside Service and Internment will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, at 10am, at Saint Anthonys Cemetery,146 County RdA11A, Las Vegas, NM 87701.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Leo Paz, Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church Choir.
