Christina Leyba, a resident of El Coyote, N.M. passed away on April 28, 2023, at Lovelace Medical Center surrounded by her family.

Christina was born October 23, 1984, in Las Vegas, N.M. to Floyd Leyba and Debbie Herrera.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Leandro B. Leyba, Maria C. Leyba, and Isabelle Ramirez, great-grandma Gabrielita Pino, aunts Judy Leyba, Dorothy Lucero, Uncle Albert Cordova, cousins and other family members.

Christina is survived by her parents Floyd Leyba and Debbie Herrera. Brothers, Nathan Leyba and girlfriend Susan Colio, David Leyba. Sisters, Michelle Herrera and husband Abel Rangel, Marina Leyba and fiancé Isaac Martinez, Carmelita Padilla and husband Oscar Padilla, also surviving her are her sons Jose Rangel, Zane Jaramillo, Floyd Maestas and Jesus Leyba. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Christina was a fun, loving person. She always had a smile on her face no matter what the circumstances were. She always was there when you needed help. She loved being outside, surrounded by her children and family.

There will be a viewing on May 15, 2023 from 2-5pm at Rogers Mortuary in Las Vegas, NM

Rosary will be on Monday, May 15, 2023 at 7pm at St. Gertrude Church in Mora, NM.

Funeral mass will be on Tuesday May 16, 2023 at 10 am with Father Paul Grala S.O.L.T. serving as celebrant.

Interment to follow at The Leyba Family Cemetery in El Coyote. Serving as Pallbearers will be Nathan Leyba, David Leyba, Ezequiel Baca, Oscar Padilla, Jason Barela and Robert Martinez.
