Christine Arguello, 61, passed away December 13, 2023, at home in the loving arms of her family.

She was born December 18, 1961, in Leadville, Colorado to Mary D Garcia and Leo "Smokey" Garcia Sr.

She is preceded in death by her daughter Mariah J. Arguello, Mother Mary D Garcia, Father Leo "Smokey" Garcia Sr., Brothers Ernest Garcia, Leo "Smokey" Garcia Jr., and Eric Garcia.

She is Survived by her Sons Michael Arguello, and Mark Arguello (Lucianne). Her grandchildren Martin Martinez, Miranda Arguello, Marissa Arguello, and Montana Arguello. Her great granddaughter Jenesis Martinez. Her sisters Sandra Marquez (Danny) and Bernice Garcia (puppy Gracie). Her God children Jonnice Griego, John Griego and Analeise Arroyo. Special Nieces April Marquez, Leslie Marquez and Cheryl Conway and several nieces and nephews.

Christine was a very loving and caring person. She was family and friend oriented. She never said no to a person in need and always opened her home to whoever needed a place to stay. She was always listening to music and loved to dance. Christine also loved to cook and bake her biscochitos. Traveling was her passion.

She will be dearly missed.

Cremation has taken place and rosary will be recited on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 7:00pm, funeral mass will be on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 9:00am with both services at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM.

Interment will follow at San Jose Cemetery with the following as urn bearers: Martin Martinez, Miranda Arguello, and Marissa Arguello.

Honorary Urn bearers: Jonnice Griego, John Griego, Analeise Arroyo and Montana Arguello.
