Christine Victoria Garcia, 68, of Holman, New Mexico was born on September 7, 1957 in Monte Vista, Colorado to Telesforo and Esther Garcia. She passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026, at Christus St. Vincent in Sante Fe surrounded by her loving family.

In her life she had several jobs. but her biggest achievement was earning her cosmetology degree, which led to a 25-year career and allowed her to become a hair salon owner. One of her most loved passions in life was to create beautiful works of art through drawing, crocheting, jewel crafting and sewing. This passion was shared with her loving husband Tony, they had created many amazing works of art that can be seen throughout Utah and New Mexico.

Christine loved art, but she loved her family even more. Her children and later grandchildren were her pride and joy, spending time with them and making memories were the focal point of her life. Many of these memories include singing with her daddy as a child, dancing, camping, and a friendly game of poker. She was an avid sports fan, who always cheered on her Washington Redskins, Utah Jazz, and Utah Utes. As a lifelong Catholic, she loved to spread the gospel as a member of the Legion of Mary.

She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Telesforo and Esther Garcia, her siblings, Larry, Connie, Kenneth, Dick, and Billy Garcia and stepdaughter, Samantha Jorgensen.

She is survived by her loving husband, Tony Garcia, children, Crystal (Mouner) Snounou, Steven (Shannon) Yarbor, Matthew C. (Tonya) Martinez, and Rubyrose (Tyler) Anaya, stepchildren, Joseph Macenfish, Kristina Garcia, Amanda Garcia, siblings Talley Garcia, Michelle Flores, Ralph Garcia, Juanita Renteria, and Jeanene Buhler, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
