In Loving Memory of Christine Yvonne Martinez

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Christine Yvonne Martinez of Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Our beloved Christine left this world far too soon at the age of 36 on April 22, 2026.

Christine was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, mother, and wife. She was a devoted mother to her daughters Ariah, Amiah, Ayva, and her son Jayden.

Christine was born on December 15, 1989, in Denver, Colorado to her loving mother Yvonne Martinez and father Joseph Martinez. She was preceded in death by her grandfather Clemente Duran; great grandparents Domingo & Hortencia Duran; Jose Patricio & Mary T. Martinez; great grandmother Escolastica Martinez; uncle Ernesto Romero; aunts Amelia Romero, Mary Ramirez; and goddaughter Genevieve Trujillo.

She is survived by her devoted mother Yvonne Martinez and father Joseph Martinez; her loving husband Gilbert Rodriguez; daughters Ariah, Amiah, Ayva; son Jayden; brothers Dion Medina and Deven Medina (Colleen); nephew Denver Medina; grandmothers Eva Martinez and Matilda Martinez; aunts Ruby Vigil (Gary), Helen Martinez, Mary Lou Martinez; uncle Danny Duran (Nakia); along with numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Christine lived her life as a radiant soul and an amazing, loving mother with a heart of gold. Her family was her pride and joy, and she was always striving for perfection in everything she pursued. She was a faithful Christian whose love and strength touched everyone around her.

Christine’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her—in the laughter she shared, the love she gave, and the faith she carried throughout her life.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at 1:00pm at Cornerstone Church located at 2207 7th street in Las Vegas, NM with Pastor Herman Medina as officiant. Serving as pallbearers will be Dion, Deven, Danny, Christopher, Nick, and Gabriel. Interment will follow immediately after at San Isidro Cemetery in Holman, NM.
