We are saddened to announce the passing of Cipriano Ruiz on May 2, 2026, age 77. A resident of Las Vegas, NM born on November 1, 1948 in San Ysidro, New Mexico to Isaias Ruiz and Erminia Martinez.
Cipriano worked for many years for the State of New Mexico at the Behavioral Health Institute in Las Vegas, NM.
He is preceded in death by his parents Isaias Ruiz and Erminia Martinez, his brother Mario Ruiz and son Joe Ortiz.
Cipriano is survived by his children, Cipriano Ruiz Jr., Beverly Villegas (Luis), Jessica Lucero, Chris Larson, Melissa Trujillo, Angel Duran and Reina Garduno, siblings, Rose Ruiz, Kathy Urioste, Joyce Aragon (Luciano), Pauline Ruiz and Antonio Ruiz, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A very special thank you to his granddaughter Anyssa for caring for her grandfather during his short battle with cancer.
Cremation has taken place and burial will be on May 23, 2026 at the San Jose Cemetery.
