Clarence L. Garcia age 67 – Passed away Thursday February 16, 2023, surrounded by his family.
He was born December 3, 1955, and was a lifelong resident of Guadalupita, New Mexico.
Clarence was proceeded in death by his father George, Grandparents, nephew Isaac Garcia, brother-in-law Arsenio Lujan and God Son Louie Grine.
He is survived by his son Gene (Geno) and wife Jewell, grandsons Cody, Reyes Garcia, Timothy Collins and special Granddaughter Novalie Weber. His Companion Patsy Weber and her family. His Mother Pearl. Brothers and sisters, George (Jeanette), Rita (Fred), Delma (Elias), Darlene (Eddie), Jake (Leena), Carlos (Bonnie), Merlene (John), Agnes, Lynn and Kathy Grine. Special Aunt Florence Maestas, numerous nieces and nephews.
Clarence attended Robertson High School till his senior year and graduated from Mora High School in 1974. Clarence attended Luna Community College where he received his Associates Degree in Business. He worked retail for many years. Later Clarence became an Insurance Consultant for American National Insurance Company and most recent Colonial Life. He owned and operated the famous "Smokin' Train" and catered many events, rodeos and fiestas. Clarence enjoyed most, traveling and supporting, sharing his sons' dreams, owning and training racehorses. He would follow his son anywhere, Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona and all over New Mexico. Their racehorse, "NoReasonForDiamonds" was their biggest accomplishment in horseracing.
Rosary will be Thursday, February 23, 2023, at 7:00 pm at St. Gertrudes Church, Mora, New Mexico.
The Funeral will be Friday, February 24, 2023, at 10:00 am St. Gertrudes Church, Mora, New Mexico. Interim services will follow for Clarence in Guadalupita, NM. With the following serving as Pallbearers Cody Garcia, Reyes Garcia, Frankie Garcia, AJ Lujan, Benny Grine, Charles Weber, Michael Griego and Johnny Garcia. Honorary Pallbearers: Adam Weber, Novalie Weber, Cardell Herrera, Alan Valencia, Bernie Garcia and Noah Mares.
