Obituary

Clyde Alcon, 64, a lifelong resident of Cañoncito, NM, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, April 10, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born on September 29, 1960, in Cleveland, NM, to Bernave and Eloisa Alcon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernave and Eloisa Alcon, and his grandson, Terrence Alcon.

He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Charlene; his children, Terrah and Isaac (Francine); and his grandchildren, Zachary, Lillyanna, Kamilah, Aria, Izabella, Gracie, and Aaliyah. He is also survived by his sisters, Gloria Gonzales and Debra Alcon, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Clyde was a true outdoorsman who loved working with his cows and spending time in his shop. He was a skilled cattleman, always knowing just what his cows needed. His shop was his happy place, filled with chainsaws and John Deere tractors that he used every day.

Clyde and his wife, Charlene, were inseparable. Wherever Char was, Clyde was not far behind. Their bond was evident to all who knew them. Clyde's greatest pride was his children, and in one of his final moments, he expressed his love and pride for them. His family was his world, and his legacy will continue through them.

His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on through the stories and the impact he had on those around him.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Rogers Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow at Alcon Family Ranch, aka "The Crusher," in Cañoncito, NM, with the following serving as pallbearers; William Alvey, Jashe Alcon, Jarrod Duran, Bryan Alcon, Anselmo Duran, Francisco (Chico) Montoya, and Marcello Pino.
