Conferina S. Gurule, age 82, a lifetime resident of Canoncito, NM has gone to be with our lord on Monday, February 27, 2023 at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born to Eloy Sanchez and Evangeline Leyba on February 3, 1941 in Holman, NM.

A catholic and a member of St. Gertrude Church in Mora, NM. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Conferina enjoyed reading and creating her own jewelry, was a housekeeper and worked for Salmon Ranch Raspberry farm for many years.

She is preceded in death by her mother Evangeline Leyba, father, Eloy Sanchez, her husband Reynaldo Gurule, granddaughter Baby Emily DeRay Trujillo, sister Elizabeth Ramos, brother-in-law's Jimmy Weber, Magdelina Weber and John Torres, and sister-in-law's Isabel Medina and Peggy Leyba;

She is survived by her children, Dwayne Gurule, Loretta Gurule and Vivian Trujillo (Benjamin), granddaughter Andrea Trujillo, brothers Bernie Leyba, Antonio Garcia (Evelyn), Johnny Maldonado (Theresa), Teddy Maldonado and Edward Maldonado, sisters Guadalupe Torres and Maria Maldonado (Julian), brother-in-law Robert Chavez (Ginny), special grandchildren Damien Garcia and  Alisha Maes, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Cremation has taken place and rosary will be recited on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at 9:30am funeral mass will follow both services will be held at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Mora, NM with Father Dale Craig S.O.L.T as celebrant.

Interment will follow at La Cueva Cemetery in La Cueva, NM. Honorary pallbearers will be Delores Vigil, Theresa Estrada, Josephine Brizal and Matthew Maestas.
