Conrada Tenorio Saiz
Conrada Tenorio Saiz, age 83, a lifetime resident of Tecolotito, New Mexico passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2021.
Conrada Saiz was born on 12/24/1937 in Tecolotito, NM. She was born the Daughter of Felipe Tenorio and Amanda Aragon Tenorio. Conrada was the youngest of 8 children. The Saiz family reared their family in small adobe home near the Little Pecos River in Tecolotito, NM.
Conrada met the love of her life Fidel Saiz In Tecolotito, NM and married in 1953. Fidel and Conrada started a family. Their marriage was blessed with the gift of nine children; Fidel Domingo, Amadeo Saiz, Amanda Saiz, Virginia Saiz, Felix Saiz, Patricia Saiz, Veronica Saiz, Joe Saiz, and Larry Saiz.
Fidel and Conrada always sought a better life and opportunities for their family. They moved away from Tecolotito and relocated their family to places such as Portales, NM, Mount Vernon, WA, Notus, ID, Wilder, ID, Sunny Slope, ID, and Homedale, ID.
Conrada was Fidel's Rock and Anchor. She spent her younger years caring for, supporting, and loving her many children.
In 1981 Conrada accepted a job at the JR Simplot Company where she was a general laborer. She worked diligently for about 17 years before retiring to be a full time Grandmother to her many Grandchildren in 1998.
Conrada and Fidel moved back to Tecolotito in 2003 where they continued to love and support each other and their family. Fidel went home to be with the Lord in 2007. Conrada remained in Tecolotito until the Lord called her home.
Conrada lived a life devoted to the Lord and his purpose for her life. She dedicated all her efforts to being the best Wife, Mom, Grandmother, and friend she could be.
We will always remember her delicious food and handmade flour tortillas. Grandma was famous for her NM Green Chile, eggs, and potatoes.
She always demonstrated the most important things in life were family, love, kindness. Conrada loved and supported her family unconditionally. She was at her happiest when surrounded by her family, children, grandchildren, and her many great grandchildren.
We will always carry in our hearts and memories the love and kindness she poured out on everyone.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Fidel Saiz; infant son: Fidel Domingo Saiz, Jr; brothers: Juan, Abran, Jose, and Gilberto Tenorio; and sister: Rosa Sanchez.
Conrada is survived by her sons: Amadeo Saiz and Larry Saiz of Tecolotito, NM, Felix Saiz (Becky) and Jose Saiz (Angela) of Tecolotito, NM; daughters: Amanda Saiz of Caldwell, ID, Virginia Saiz of Ontario, OR, Betty Saiz and Patsy Klein (Frank) of Nampa, ID; sister-in-law: Corrina Tenorio of Santa Rosa, NM; 22 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 9:00am at the Immaculate Concepcion Church in Las Vegas, NM with father George V. Salazar as celebrant.
**Due to COVID-19 restrictions, attendance is limited to 75 people only and masks are required. Funeral mass will be live streamed on www.facebook.com/iclasvegasnm
Interment will follow at Tecolotito Cemetery in Tecolotito, New Mexico with the following serving as Pallbearers: Joe Saiz, Larry Saiz, Damian Acosta, Amadeo Saiz Jr, Mateo Aguirre and Max Primero. Honorary Pallbearers will be her many great-grandchildren and nephews.
