Another Angel went to Heaven

Corrine Lucy Tafoya, 32, a resident of Las Vegas, NM passed away Monday April 15, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.  Corrine was born January 3, 1992 to Leroy and Esther Tafoya of Las Vegas, NM.

Corrine graduated from Robertson High School in 2010.  She was a former employee of Plaza Drugs, United World College Sodexo, and NMHU Sodexo.

Corrine was a beautiful soul, very loving, caring, and a true friend to all that knew her.  Corrine was a bright light to her family and will be greatly missed by all that knew her.  She is proceeded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ambrosio and Lucy Tafoya, her maternal grandparents, Santiago Jaramillo and Nora Archuleta.  Sister Audrey Tafoya, Niece Aleecia Tafoya.  Godfather and Uncle Dan Jaramillo, Uncle Leo Tafoya, Aunt Judy Tafoya, Aunt Gladys Quintana, cousins Courtney Martinez and Geraldine Tafoya.

She is survived by her parents, Leroy and Esther Tafoya of the family home.  Brother, Leroy Tafoya Jr. and wife Kim.  Nieces, Mariah Gonzales, Kyrstian, Reanna (Anthony).  Nephews, Ethan Tafoya, and Cayden (Victoria).  Her paternal Uncles Marcos Tafoya, Rudy Tafoya (Lorraine), Billy Tafoya, and Albert Tafoya (Helen).  Paternal aunts, Tina Tafoya, Hazel Molina (Herman), Elaine Ortega (Rick), Evelyn Espinoza (Lee), and Liz Barbara (Andy).  Maternal Uncle Johnny Jaramillo (Greda).  Maternal aunts, Connie Medina, Velma Roybal (Harvey) and Phylilis Dimas.  Godmother, Doris Cook, God brother's and cousins, Daniel and Santiago Jaramillo.  Special Friends Anna Alirez and Amari Vigil.  Numerous cousins and many friends.

Cremation has taken place and a Rosary will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at 7:00 pm at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM. The Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 9:00 am also at Our Lady of Sorrows with Interment will follow at San Jose Cemetery in Las Vegas, NM.
