Cristella G. Pacheco a resident of Rainsville, New Mexico entered her eternal rest on Saturday, May 11, 2024 surrounded by her family. Her death was peaceful and she will be greatly missed. Cristella had just turned 82.

She was born to David Gallegos and Epimenia Chavez on March 22, 1942.

Cristella was an avid bird lover who owned several parakeets and always fed the migrating hummingbirds. She worked most of her life for the Mora School system. Cristella was a great cook who especially made delicious bread and loved working with all the kids and cooking for them. She was known to give "seconds" too many of the kids in secret. They simply loved her! Cristella was a lifelong member of St. Gertrude Catholic church, a faithful woman and dedicated prayer warrior. She spent much of her free time in prayer and belonged to the Legion of Mary, Altar Society, Guadalupanas and Sacred Heart Society. She loved the lord and was an example of true love of God to her entire family. Every time the family got in a vehicle for a road trip she would ensure the rosary was prayed in both directions. She was generous and giving with everything she had. Cristella was a wonderful mother and friend to all.

Cristella is preceded in death by her mother: Epimenia Chavez; sister: Florence Gurule; grandsons: Antonio Pacheco and Joseph Pacheco; son-in-law: Samuel Fore.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years Manuel (Tony) Pacheco of Rainsville, NM; daughters; Agnes (Theresa) Fore, Juliet Parson, Ermelinda Pacheco, Bernadette Pacheco and Pamela Stone (Dean); grandchildren: Samantha Pacheco (Adam), Christopher Parson and Catalicia Barr; great grandchildren: Benjamin Pacheco, Rafael Pacheco, Ares Urrea and Victor Urrea; brother: Milnor Chavez (Connie). She also had a special love for her numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosary will be recited on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 7:00pm. Funeral mass will be conducted on Friday, May 17, 2024 at 10:00am with Father Dale Craig S.O.L.T. and Father Paul Grala S.O.L.T. as celebrants both services will be held at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Mora, NM.

Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Rainsville, NM with the following serving as Pallbearers Dean Stone, Christopher Parson, Benjamin Pacheco, Rafael Pacheco, Patrick Gurule and Louie Parson.
