Daniel Romero, 67, lifelong resident of Tecolotito, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Born November 2, 1957, to Ignacio Romero and Rita L. Lucero, Daniel had a deep love for the outdoors. He enjoyed arrowhead hunting in the nearby mountains, fishing, bonfires, collecting antiques, and spending cherishing time with his grandchildren and family. A skilled craftsman, repairman, and prankster, Daniel was always making people laugh.

A proud member of the Anton Chico Land Grant, Daniel held a special place in his heart for his hometown.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ignacio and Rita Romero, his daughter Jessica Silva, his son Rosendo Romero, and mother of children and forever best friends Carla Patsy Lucero.

Daniel is survived by his wife Michelle Romero of Tecolotito; daughter Monica Guerrero (Freddie) of Canyon, and daughter-in-law Jackie Romero of Henderson; sons Ignacio Romero (Renee) of Amarillo, Christopher Romero (Georgina) of Tecolotito, and son-in-law Freddy Silva of Tecolotito; stepdaughters Yvonne Cuellar (Brandon) of Hereford, and Angelica Cuellar (Mario) of Tecolotito; stepsons EJ and Adrian Cuellar (Ariel) of Lubbock; and all his beloved 25 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Daniel will be lovingly remembered for his kindness and zest for life, qualities that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Services will be held on August 30, at 10:00am in Tecolotito at 15 Calle Feliz. We will then have a final ride through town and meet back at his residence "The Ranchito" for a celebration of life.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Felipe Romero, Arturo Romero, Carlos Venegas, Cruz Romero, Mark Urioste and Corine Mancha.
