Darrell "Apache" Romero, 66, of Los Alamitos "LA" went to be with our Lord on December 7, 2023 peacefully surrounded by family. Darrell was born on June 24, 1957 in Chacon, NM. He attended Mora High School. He enjoyed listening to music, especially the accordion. He loved being outdoors and loved spending time with family and friends. Darrell loved telling jokes and making everyone laugh. He was loved by everyone he knew and touched everyone's heart in his own special way.

Darrell was born to Syria Romero and the late Moises Romero. He was preceded in death by his brothers Leo Romero and Gilbert Romero. Brother in law Johnny Lopez. Darrell is survived by his son Darrell Romero Jr and husband Gustavo and pampos fur baby and sidekick Luna (Chucca) all of Santa Fe, NM. Pauline Gonzales of Las Vegas, NM and special Aunt Annie Vigil of Mora, NM. Brother Moises Romero of Fort Lupton, CO. Sister who he considered his second mom Toni Lopez (Mamita) of Cheyenne, WY. Sister Linda Cunkie Romero of Laramie, WY. Brother Roger Romero of Los Alamitos, NM and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Services as follows: Rosary and Mass will be held at St. Gertrude's Church in Mora, NM on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 9:00 am. Burial immediately following at in Chacon, NM. Eulogy to be read at graveside by his niece Monica Quintana.

Reception will be held at the Parish Hall in Mora, NM.
