Our beloved David Roy Lucero was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven by our Lord and Savior, his loving mother, Julie Lucero and brother, Joe "Okie" Lucero. He is survived by his son Kiva Lucero, father Joe Horace Lucero, sister Missy Lucero and her partner Rashelle, nephew Joshua Lucero and sister in law Charlene Lucero and many extended family members who love him dearly.

David always said that his greatest accomplishment was his son, Kiva.

David graduated from West Las Vegas HS in 1981 as an avid football player. He went on to play for NM Highlands University where he played a key role in winning the RMAC Championship of 1981. He currently holds two records from that year and was entitled to try out for the NFL. His devout faith and kind nature will be greatly missed by his family, friends and the NMHU Cowboy Family.

In honoring David's wishes, no service will be held at this time. A burial will take place at a later date. We are so grateful for and would like to thank everyone for their love and support during this difficult time.
