Delia I. Smith (Duran), 73, of La Cordillera, NM, went peacefully to join Our Lord on July 8, 2023.

She was born August 7, 1949, in Chacon, NM to Nora Lopez.

Delia loved spending time with her family and friends, fishing, picking pinon, crocheting, gambling, and fighting (joking) with people, which is why we all loved her. Delia was a stay-at-home mother. She is preceded in death by her partner Jose Roque Barela, son, Gary Joseph Reierson, brother, Jose Pancho Lopez and sister, Martha Gonzales.

She is survived by her sons; Nick Branch (Rosalie) of La Cordillera, NM, Frank Branch (Cindy) of Las Vegas, NM and Paul Duran (Jessica) of El Alto, NM; mother Nora Lopez of Las Vegas, NM; grandchildren Nicky Branch, Dominic Branch, Javier Branch, Julio Leyba, Stephanie Casados, Frank Branch III, Alex Branch, Leticia Branch, Jesus Garcia, Gary Reierson Jr., Ariana Reierson, Ashton Reierson, Aidan Duran, Ethan Duran and Baby Duran; 11 great grandchildren; brother-in-law Ernesto Gonzales; sisters, Delma Romero(Benny) of Cookville, TN, Josephine Duran of Santa Fe, NM, Mary Trujillo (Ernest) of Edgewood, NM, Theresa Mondragon (Gilbert) of Chacon, NM, Carol Romero of Las Vegas, NM, Beatrice Trujillo of Las Vegas, NM, Mary Ann Duran of Las Vegas, NM; brothers, Alex Duran (Cathy) of Las Vegas, NM and Juan Duran ( Theresa) of Las Vegas, NM; good friends Ruben, Candy and Laura from Vida Encantada: she is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, uncles, aunts and friends. The family would like to thank Alice Vasquez and the staff at Vida Encantada for their kind and loving care.

Rosary Service will be held at 7:00pm Thursday, July 13, 2023, and funeral mass Friday, July 14, 2023 at 10:00am at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Mora, NM with Fr. Dale Craig, S.O.L.T. as Celebrant.

Burial will follow at the San Antonio Cemetery in Cleveland, NM with the following serving as pallbearers; Nicky Branch, Dominic Branch, Javier Branch, Frank Branch III, Alex Branch, Jesus Garcia, Aidan Duran and Ethan Duran. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be her sons and remaining grandchildren.
