Desiree Marie Trujillo, 21, of Las Vegas, N.M., passed away March 7, 2026.

She was born Aug. 29, 2004, to Patrick Trujillo Jr. and Josephine N. Martinez. Desiree grew up in Las Vegas, graduating from Robertson High School. After high school, she pursued her passion for the beauty industry and proudly earned her cosmetology license from Luna Community College.

Desiree had a vibrant spirit and loved spending time doing activities that brought her joy. She enjoyed attending rodeos and concerts, where she especially loved dancing to country music. Desiree had a great love for food, shopping and traveling. She cherished the time she spent with her sisters, family and friends. Recently, she discovered a love for snowboarding and was excited to continue learning and enjoying time in the mountains.

Desiree will be remembered for her fun-loving personality, her beautiful smile and the joy she brought to those around her. She was deeply loved by her family and friends. Her memory will forever remain in their hearts.

Desiree was preceded in death by her paternal great-grandfather, Guadalupe Trujillo; her paternal great-grandparents, Rita and Max Maestas; her maternal great-grandparents, Antonia and Jose Maria Montoya and Luis Martinez; her grandfather, George Martinez and Uncle Phillip Bustos.

She is survived by her loving parents, Patrick Trujillo Jr. and Josephine N. Martinez; her siblings, Zack, Madison and Hailiee Morse, as well as many relatives and friends who loved her dearly. On her paternal side, Desiree is survived by her great-grandmother Helen Trujillo; grandparents, Cassandra and Carlos Valdez and Patrick Trujillo and Jeanette Pino; Aunt Bernadette Trujillo (Jason Griego); and Aunt Devyn Duran and Uncle Robert Duran IV. On her maternal side, she is survived by her great-grandmother Rosie Martinez; grandparents Irene and Andrew Espinoza; her aunt Jennifer Martinez-Bustos; cousin, Jazalle Mares; her Uncle Maricio Castillo; Aunt Bobbi Castillo; Uncle Anthony Varela; and Aunt Rose Varela.

Her life, though far too short, was filled with love, laughter and cherished moments with those closest to her. She will be deeply missed.

Rosary services for Desiree will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 26, with a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Church, Las Vegas with Father Dennis Garcia as celebrant. Interment will follow at Los Vigiles Cemetery in Los Vigiles, NM with the following serving as pallbearers Patrick Trujillo Sr., Mauricio Castillo Jr, Anthony (Tony) Varela, Josh Brito, Andrew Espinoza, and Zach Morse. Honorary pallbearers are Hailiee and Madison Morse, along with family and friends.
