Donald "Don"
Seuntjens
January 24, 1936 – August 21, 2025
Donald "Don" Seuntjens passed away quietly at his home on August 21st, 2025, after a brief illness. Don was born on January 24th, 1936, in Carroll County Iowa, to Vincent and Clara Seuntens. Don was the 3rd of four children.
In 1945, Don's family moved to Albuquerque NM, due to his father's emphysema. In Albuquerque, Don finished high school at Highland High School in 1954, while also working early mornings before school, and afternoons after school, after losing his father in 1952.
In 1958, Don met and married Suzanne LaFollette, and started a family. In 1969, Don moved his family to Las Vegas NM and started his business, San Miguel Distributing Co. Don was known as the "Rainbo Bread Man" around Las Vegas. Don also distributed 7-Up products as well as Morton's food products. Don "retired" from his business in the late 1980's to pursue other opportunities.
Don was preceded in death by his brother Verle in 1932, his father Vincent in 1952, his mother Clara in 2004, his wife "Sue" in 2014, and his sister Marilyn in 2020.
Don is survived by his brother Gerald Seuntjens, of Albuquerque, NM, son Ron Seuntjens and wife Donna, of Albuquerque, NM, son Brian Seuntjens and wife Maronda, of Las Vegas, NV, son James Seuntjens of Las Vegas, NM, as well as grandson Jacob Gomez of Espanola, NM, grandson Dylan Seuntjens of Las Vegas, NV, great-granddaughter Marie Gomez, of Santa Fe, NM, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held for Don Monday, September 8, 2025, at 9am, at Immaculate Conception Church, at 811 6th street in Las Vegas.
