Dorothy M. Garcia, 73 of Cubero, Grants, and most recently Anton Chico, NM, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022.

Dorothy was born in December of 1948 in Albuquerque, NM to Manuel and Gertrude (Armijo) Salazar. She raised her kids with her husband, Rudy Garcia, in Grants, NM and later  moved to Anton Chico,  NM. She enjoyed spending time with her sister and best friend Ludena. They loved to travel and go to the casino.  She enjoyed growing plants and was proud of her fruit trees she had grown from seeds.  She loved music and liked to dance.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Rudy S. Garcia; brothers, Adam and Frankie Salazar; sisters, Ludena Maestas and Debbie Molina; brother in law Joey Rodarte and son-in-law David Baca, as well as many brothers and sisters in- law to her late husband and siblings.

Dorothy is survived by her children Renee Maestas (Gerald) of Anton Chico, Melanie Baca of Albuquerque, and Pennie Garcia (Frederick) of Anton Chico; grandchildren, Robert and Amadeo Maestas of Anton Chico, Alexandra Monge of Albuquerque, Matiana Baca of Santa Rosa, Maliyah Baca of Albuquerque, Emmalee and Eilee Romero of Anton Chico; great grandchildren,  Yaquelin, Lex-Andre, LeeAndra Monge, and Leighlani Garcia-Perez of Albuquerque;  Olivia Maestas of Anton Chico; Morik and Marloc Minter of Santa Rosa; her sister Naomi Salazar-Rodarte of Cubero,  and many beloved neices, nephews, and other relatives including Elia Mendez who always there when needed.

We would like to thank family and friends for the outpouring of prayers, love and support. Special heart felt thanks to those that visited her and the staff at NMBHI who helped care for her like family, as she battled the effects of having a stroke for the last years of her life. Our appreciation and love for you is great. Continued prayers and support for her family is the best way to honor her memory.  Cremation has taken place and Dorothy's cremains will be buried in Cubero in a private ceremony, at later date.
