It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Elizabeth "Liz" Gallegos-Baca. Liz, aged 45, passed away peacefully at home with the love of her life by her side along with her beloved children. Liz was a die-hard raider's fan who enjoyed spending time with her loved ones. Liz courageously battled stage 4 cancer for the last 10 years. She fought long and hard and will be missed tremendously.

Liz is survived by the love of her life of 22 years, Paul Baca. Her children, Daithian Lucero, Alisha (Shane) Martinez, Fernando and Brianna Baca and her stepson Pablito Baca. Grand-daughter Ariah Martinez. Mother; Mary Jo Elaine Gallegos. Grandmother; Patricia Antonia Gallegos. Sister; Josephine Gallegos. Aunts; Tommie and Gloria Gallegos, Lorraine Romero, Lorenza Vigil, and Ruby Ortega. Her favorite uncle Gilbert Gallegos Jr. Niece's; Layla and Cecilia Gallegos, and Alexandra Duran. Nephews; Lucious Gallegos, Julian, Julius, and Josiah Saiz, Antonio Maestas, Israel and Esiquel Martinez. Cousins; Agnes and Patricia Gallegos. Mother-in-law, Lillian Romero-Ramirez, Fathers-in-law, Pedro Ramirez and Apolonio Baca. Sisters-in-law; Joyce (Mario) Baca, Cathy (Andre) Baca, Michelle (Luis) Trujillo, Anita (Martin) Baca, Crystal Baca, Jennifer (Marvin) Armjo, Shania (Robert) Stocker, and Angelica Baca. Brother-in-laws, Cresencio (Amanda) Baca, Victor (Jamileth) Trujillo, and Miguel (Leandra) Salazar.

Liz is preceded in death by her uncle/adopted father, John Gallegos. Grandfather, Gilbert F. Gallegos Sr. Great-Grandmother Mela Gallegos, Godfather, Arthur Gallegos and aunt Elizabeth Gallegos.

We would like to extend our gratitude to the following for being there for Liz and helping in whatever way they could, Dolores, Lenore, Hope, Beatrice, Uncle Benny, Tina, Yolana V., Maria, and her nurse Grace. From the bottom of our hearts thank you. We would also like to thank Anvoi Hospice Care for taking such good care of our Liz these last few weeks.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at 9:00am at East Drive Baptist Church in Las Vegas, NM. Interment will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery in Las Vegas, NM with the following serving as Pallbearers: Cresencio Baca, Miguel Salazar, Fernando Baca, Gilbert Gallegos Jr., Victor Trujillo and Bernardo Baca.
