Eloisa Esquibel age 101 was embraced by the Lord and entered into eternal life on Tuesday June 7. 2022. She was born in Shoemaker NM, and was a resident of Peralta, NM. She was a loving wife, amazing mother, caring grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many.
Eloisa was kind, loving, and generous. She was a strong mother who loved her children above all. She selflessly made her family her sole focus and she worried over them and took care of them until the end, sometimes to the exclusion of her own needs. She most importantly loved spending time with family & her beloved caregiver, Maria Quintana. She had an infectious joy for life, and a love of music and dancing.
Eloisa will be desperately missed by all those she left behind. There was no one that met Eloísa that didn't love her, and she will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She was one of a kind and to be loved by her was to be truly blessed.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 80 years, Albert Esquibel whom she missed very much. Daughter in-law Lorraine Esquibel, and Grandson Tommy Montoya. Brothers Charlie Baca, Secundino Baca, Robert Baca, Mike Baca, Gilbert Baca, John Baca and Leroy Baca. Sisters, Helen Sacoman, and Irene Linburger
She is survived by her loving children Jesse Esquibel (wife Grace), Joe Esquibel (wife Gloria), Dennie Esquibel (longtime family friend Virginia Chavez), Robert Esquibel (wife Lorraine, deceased), Grace Montoya (Husband Gilbert), J.D. Esquibel (wife Amy), Allen Esquibel.
She is also survived by her brother and sisters Sacramento Baca Jr., Emma Gonzales, Bertha Martinez, and Ester Self. She had 18 grandchildren whom she adored, and numerous great-grandchildren. Also, many nieces, nephews and cousins who meant so much to her.
Her faith was unwavering, believing without seeing, and always trusting in our lord.
A Rosary will be recited on Thursday June 16 at 7:00pm at Immaculate Conception Church located at 811 6th street Las Vegas, New Mexico. A mass will be celebrated on Friday June 17 at 11:00 am also at Immaculate Conception. Interment to follow in Sabinoso, New Mexico.
Serving as pallbearers will be her sons Joe, Dennie, Robert, J.D., Allen and her grandson Troy Esquibel.
