Emenencia Romo, age, 94 a lifetime resident of Mora, NM passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, February 11, 2024 in Las Vegas, NM.

She was a lifelong catholic and member of St. Gertrude Church in Mora, NM.

She was born on April 8, 1929 to Jose Hurtado and Albinita Maes in Estillero, NM.

Emenencia is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Manuel Romo.

She is survived by her children: Evelyn Romo of Mora, NM, Rosemary Villa (Rey) of Las Vegas, NM, Arthur Romo (Joyce) of Mora, NM, Fita Herrera (Herman) of Jemez, NM, Tony Romo of Mora, NM, Carla Hetrick (Jeff) of Las Cruces, NM and Carmela Alcon (Ricky) of Rio Rancho, NM; numerous: grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Rosary service will be recited on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at 7:00pm. Funeral mass will be conducted on Monday, February 19, 2024 at 10:00am with Father Dale Craig S.O.L.T. as celebrant both services will be held at St. Gertrude Church in Mora, NM.

Interment will follow at San Isidro Cemetery in Holman, NM with the following serving as Pallbearers Mike Maldonado, Damian Sells, Herman Herrera, Roy Pacheco Sr., Reymundo Villa Jr. and Lucas Romo. Honorary Pallbearers will be all her remaining grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
