Erma Moreno, 87 our beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on December 27, 2023 in Las Vegas, NM.

She was born on December 28, 1935 to the late Leo and Maria Valdez of Des Moines, NM. She took pride being a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. Erma enjoyed crafting, sewing and providing alterations for numerous people for 38 years. She was also known for upholstering cars for the family business West Side Body Shop, but most of all known for her generosity and warm personality, which she shared with many who came to know her.

Erma is preceded in death by her loving husband Celestino "Tino" Moreno, Parents Leo and Maria Valdez, Granddaughter Angela Moreno, Brothers Doroteo (Pauline) Valdez, Vicente (Jenny) Valdez, Selestino (Irene) Valdez, Albelino Valdez, Christobal Valdez, Pete Valdez and Leo Valdez Jr, Brother and Sister-in-law Luis Gallegos and Helen Valdez, Mother-in-law Inocencia Moreno.

She is survived by Children, David Moreno (Jeanette) of Las Vegas, NM, Michael Moreno (Bernadette) of Colorado Springs, CO and Theresa Garcia (Robert) of Las Vegas, NM, Brothers Alex Valdez of Miami, NM, Tommy Valdez (Mary) of Des Moines, NM, Sister Beatrice Gallegos of Irving, TX, Sisters-in-law MaryAnn Valdez of Albuquerque, NM, Vera Garcia of Santa Fe, NM and Priscilla Apodaca of Grants, NM. Nine grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and many close friends and neighbors.

Rosary service will be recited on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 8:30am funeral mass will follow both services will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM with Father Rob Yaksich as celebrant.

Interment will follow at San Jose Cemetery in Las Vegas, NM with the following serving as pallbearers Christopher Moreno, April Garcia, Tyler Moreno, Joel Moreno, Jacob Garcia and Ethan Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be all her loving family and friends.
