Estevan "Steve" Silva, 75, of Las Vegas, New Mexico passed into everlasting life on Wednesday February 23, 2022 at his home in Montezuma, New Mexico with his Loving wife by his side.

Estevan was born on September 9, 1946 to Manuel & Genoveva (Romero) Silva of Penasco Blanco, New Mexico.

Estevan was married to Dolores (Salazar) Silva on July 9, 1966. They were married for 55+ years.

Estevan retired from the New Mexico Highway department as a mechanic. He drove the school busses, transporting students to school, sports and activities for Las Vegas City School, West Las Vegas City School, Luna Community College, New Mexico Highlands University and United World College.

Those left to cherish his memories include his wife Dolores (Salazar) Silva; children Steve Silva Jr and Lucia; Melvin Silva and wife Rebecca; Karen (Silva) Quintana and husband Thomas; Matthew; grandchildren Zachary Sena, Julie Silva, Danielle Silva, Dallas Silva, Nathanael Quintana, Stephanie Silva, Robert Silva, Kimberly Quintana, Samantha Quintana John Silva and James Mittenzwei; great grandchildren Noah Silva, Catalina Silva, Logan Ortiz, Azielle Silva, Cashlynn Silva, Hensley Silva and Jordan Sena; siblings Frank Silva wife Esther; Fabiola (Silva) Lucero, Mary Ann (Silva) Padilla husband Arturo, Lucy (Silva) Salazar and husband Luis, Luis Silva and wife Laura. Estevan is preceded in death by his daughter: Julie Ann Silva; parents Manuel and Genoveva (Romero) Silva.

A public viewing all day on Monday, February 28, 2022 at the Rogers Chapel.

Rosary service will be conducted on Monday February 28, 2022 at 7:00pm at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 9:00am also at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with Father Christopher Nnonyelo as Celebrant.

Interment will follow at Estevan Faustin Silva Family Cemetery in Penasco Blanco, NM, with the following serving as Pallbearers, Steve Silva, Melvin Silva, Matthew Silva, Zachery Sena, Nathaniel Quintana, Robert Silva, John Silva and Thomas Quintana. Honorary Bearers will be all of his remaining grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
