Fidelino Gallegos "La Formula"

Our beloved father Fidelino, 86 years old of Ribera, NM passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on December 20, 2024.

He was born on February 14, 1938 to Lucinda and Jose Isabel Gallegos in Garambullo, New Mexico.

He is preceded in death by his wife Gloria, his parents, brother Vicente and other extended family members.

He is survived by his children Antonio (Thomasinia), Clarence "Dickie" (Teresa), Lorella (Greg), Michael (Judy), Gerald (Bernice). His grand kids, Isaiah (Mikayla), Noah, Samuel, Sebastian, Sirena, Letisha, Julian, Bridget, and Sean. His siblings, Adan (Maggie), Marcella, Pablo, and Eutimio (Mela).

Fidelino married our mother Gloria and traveled for work until finally making a home in Ribera, New Mexico. He worked mining in the uranium mines (Grants, Wyoming, Montana, Raton) to name a few and numerous construction jobs, including helping with the dam in El Valle.

He was a loving father, great provider for his wife and family. He worked very hard to make his adobe house where he resided until his death. He was so proud of his home that he built with his hands.

My dad learned to make homemade choke cherry wine and moonshine with his grandfather, uncle, and dad. He became very good at it and that's where he got his nick name "La Formula".

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, making chicharrones, visiting with friends, and having his favor whiskey wild turkey 101.

Visitation will be held on December 30, 2024 @ 9:00 a.m. at the San Miguel Del Vado Church in San Miguel, New Mexico. Rosary and funeral mass to follow starting at 10:00am with Father Timothy Meurer as celebrant. Interment will follow at the San Miguel Del Vado Cemetery in San Miguel, New Mexico with the following serving as pallbearers Greg, Pablo, Isaiah, Noah, Sebastian, and Lawrence.
