Filadelfio Pacheco was born in Tecolote, New Mexico on September 13, 1934 to the late Vicente and Albina Pacheco. He is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Lucaria Solano Pacheco. File as he was known to friends and family was preceded in death by his siblings Lucia Montoya (Ben), Ramón Pacheco, Macario Pacheco, and Frances Salazar (Sam). Son-in-law Dennis Esquibel. His brother and sisters-in-law Luis Solano (Luisa), Polin Solano (Viola), Uncle T (Antonio), Carlos Espinoza and Isabel Trujillo. Nephews and nieces, Anthony, Jimmy, and Tierra Pacheco; Ruben Romero, Juana Sandoval, Albert Salazar, Paul Jr. Solano, Linda Reyes, and Chuck Espinoza. Special uncle and aunt Manuel and Eloisa Chavez.
He is survived by his six children Fernando (John), Phil Jr. (Lilly), Eddie (Nancy), Annette Sanchez (Gerald), Barbara Padilla (Andy), Donna Romero (Augustine) and grandson Mario (Krystal) who he raised and was his pride and joy. Grandchildren Breanna Trice (Matt), Christina, Nicole (Rico) & Felicia Pacheco; Amanda Esquibel, E.J.& Randy (Paula) Pacheco; Daniel (Hannah) Sanchez; Bobby (Natalie) & Andrew Padilla, Kimberly Mazuranich, Denise Esquibel, & Desirae (Dylan) Trujillo; Joey (Holly), Faith, & Robbie Romero. Great-grandchildren Alyvia, Owen, Katherine, Amadeo, & Grayson; EJ, Santiago, Estevan, Aiden, Angelica, & Zayden; Julian, Zoey, Luciana, Graciela, and Daniel Jr.; Brayden, Elias, Alyssa, Madison, Audrey, and Liam. His only living sibling is Fidelia Solano and sisters-in-law Delicia Pacheco, Carolina Espinoza, Rita Trujillo and Lorraine Pacheco.
Filadelfio was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend and known fondly by his nephews and nieces as Tío File. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and the running joke is that dad slipped away quietly like he did at every family get-together. File worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for 42 years from the age of 18 to 60. File loved to watch his children and grandchildren play baseball and softball. He enjoyed planting his garden and raising his animals.
Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM. Rosary will be on Wednesday, June 10th at 6:00 p.m. and the Funeral Mass on Thursday, June 11th at 9:00 a.m. followed by interment at the Tecolote Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers are E.J. Pacheco, Randy Pacheco, Mario Pacheco, Daniel Sanchez, Joey Romero, and Robbie Romero. Honorary Pallbearers are his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, Roy Pacheco and Filito Salazar.
