It is with great sadness we announce the passing away of Flora Aragon on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Christus St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe N.M. Born to Narciso Aragon and Prescilliana Gonzales on November 12, 1952, in Las Vegas, N.M.

She was a sister, niece, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend. Flora graduated from Robertson High School in 1970. She pursued her education at Highlands University with a Bachelor/master's degree in social work. She worked for the State of New Mexico (CYFD) for 25 years. She retired and returned to Las Vegas, NM.

Flora loved being around close family and friends. She would light up the room. She was a kind and generous lady to all who knew her. She would give you the shirt off her back. She attended church at the Las Vegas Seventh Day Adventist church- The Journey.

Flora is preceded in death by her father and mother, Brother Jesse Aragon and 2 sisters Sadie Sandoval and Irene Gallegos. She is survived by her only daughter Audria (Ralph) Aragon-Gallegos of Las Vegas, NM and 3 grandchildren Gabriel, Isaac and Mia Aragon-Gallegos of Las Vegas, NM. Sisters Mary Lee Ortiz of Rio Rancho, N.M. and Margaret (Eli) Padilla of La Tewa, N.M., Brothers Arthur Aragon of Santa Fe, N.M. and Julian Aragon of Las Vegas, N.M. She had many aunts, uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

Cremation has taken place and service will be on January 16, 2025 at 10:00am at the Seventh Day Adventist Church - The Journey, Pass NMBHI right hand side before the turn of to Luna Community College, there will be a luncheon after the memorial service and burial will take place after at St. Anthony Cemetery in Las Vegas, NM 87701.
