Frances Marie "Della" Maestas, a longtime resident of Las Vegas, NM went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 31, 2024. Born on March 9, 1937 in La Cueva, NM to Jose Maestas and Clorinda Baros, Della was a Foster Grandparent at West Las Vegas Schools for 20 years. She loved to dance, spend time with family, baking and doing word search puzzles.

Della is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Clorinda; sisters, Mary Summerville, Eloisa Alcon, and Carlota Maestas; brothers, Flavio Maestas, Jerry Rivera, Jose Maestas, and Damacio Maestas; special friend, Cleo Rivera, who passed away the following day after Della.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Jesse Maestas of Las Vegas, NM; sisters, Seferina Padilla, Virginia Tarr, Sarah Ortiz all of Las Vegas, NM and Margaret Corona of Phoenix, AZ; brothers, Lorenzo (Kitty) Maestas of Bernalillo, NM and Leroy Maestas of Las Vegas, NM. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Services will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024 at 10:00 am at Mountain View Church of Christ with Pastor Jesse Ortiz officiating. Interment will follow at La Cueva Cemetery in La Cueva, NM with the following serving as Pallbearers; Francisco Barela, Robert Wise, Ryan Maestas, Johnny Maestas, Christopher Maestas, and Audem Gonzales. Honorary Pallbearers; Samuel Valdez and Jacob Garcia.
