Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Frances E. Flores Trujillo
It is with deep sorrow and much love that the family of Frances Flores Trujillo announces her passing. Frances Flores Trujillo 89, of Las Vegas, NM passed away peacefully at home in Whetstone, Arizona on Tuesday April 21, 2026, with her beloved husband by her bedside.
Frances was born on December 3, 1936, in Las Vegas, New Mexico, to Willie and Adelia Flores. She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, wife, and friend, remembered for her kindness, loving spirit, sense of humor, and deep devotion to her family. She was also a proud Gold Star sister, honoring the memory of her brother, Specialist 5 Jerry Flores, who was killed in Quang Tri, Vietnam.
At the age of 14, she began working at the Kiva Theatre as an usherette and was later promoted to a box office attendant while attending school in Las Vegas. After graduating from West Las Vegas High School in 1956, she married the love of her life, Raymond Trujillo, on January 1, 1964.
Frances began her professional career at JJ Newberry Five and Ten Department Store and later worked as a medical secretary for Dr. Halford. She went on to build a career in banking, working at First Interstate Bank, Bank of Santa Fe, and Bank of Las Cruces. Eventually, she and her husband settled in Arizona, where she continued her banking career with Wells Fargo. She retired from Wells Fargo as a proud “Golden Retiree.”
She was preceded in death by her parents Willie Flores and Adelia Flores, her siblings, Jerry Flores, Willie Flores Jr, Manual Flores, brother-in-law Tony Lopez, David Salas Sr, Adam Griego, Alex Aragon, sister-in-law Mary Flores, her nieces Hope Flores, Shirley Griego (Goddaughter) and nephew Joshua Aragon, grandparents Gregorio and Merenciana Flores, Godparents Charlie and Frances Montoya, her Brother-in-law Leo A. Trujillo, Sister-in-law Elaine Berry, Mary Martinez, Father-in-law Alfredo G. Trujillo, Mother-in-law Aurora A. Trujillo, grandparents-in-law Sabino Vigil, Predicanda G. Vigil, Fernadez Trujillo, and Rafelita G. Trujillo.
She is survived by her loving husband Raymond Trujillo, and her siblings Cruz Flores (wife Antonia Flores), Eleanor Lopez, Theresa Griego, Pauline Salas, Ernestine Aragon (son Jonathan Aragon), and Rose Morales (husband Richard Morales). Special nieces, Brenda Flores (husband Patrick Sanchez), Geraldine Silva, Eppie Delgado (husband Clarence Delagdo), Cathy Ramirez (Goddaughter), Frances “Pancha” Flores (Goddaughter), Ronnie Lopez (Godson), Monica Berry, Cynthia Berry, Angelo Berry, Robert L. Lucero, and Melissa Nugyen.
Rosary will be recited on Monday May 4, 2026, at Our Lady of Sorrows at 9:30 am with Mass immediately following. Burial will be on Tuesday May 5, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers; Anthony Lopez, David Salas, Chris Griego, Richard Morales, Andrew Trujillo, Robert L. Lucero, Bradley Berry, Emiliano Berged. Honorary pallbearers will be her beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
