Frances A. Salazar was born to Vicente and Albina Pacheco on February 6, 1937 in Tecolote New Mexico.  She met and married the love of her life Samuel Salazar in Colorado they were married and had 3 children. Albert Salazar and Wife Sherry of Tecolote, Phil Salazar and wife Beatrice of Tecolote, Daughter Viola and Husband Michael Nicholls of Tecolote.  She is also survived by her 4 grandsons Samuel Salazar and wife Marcella, Eric Sena, Derick Salazar, Raymond Salazar and fiancé Lorrie, Granddaughter Xyianne and husband Lauren Gallegos of Moriarty.   Great grandchildren Felizianna, Francisco, Valentin, Adelina, Sebastian, Zeak, and Gabriel.  Step grandchildren Merissa, Daniel and Chris, and numerous step great grandchildren. Her brother Filadelfio Pacheco, Sister Fidelia Solano and husband Tony. Her best friend Wilma of Sheridan. Numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Friends.

She was preceded in death by her Loving husband Samuel Salazar, Father Vicente, Mother Albina, Sister Lucia, brother Raymond, brother Macario, Step granddaughter Stephanie, and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Frances lived with her husband in their home in Tecolote where she cared for her family until she returned to work.  She worked at Vida Encantada and retired from the State Hospital where she was a CNA. Frances was a loving caring daughter, wife and Mother.  Everyone who met her loved her and she was like a second mother to many.  People loved to come to Fran's for coffee and her home was a gathering spot where everyone was welcome.  She was called home on October 2, 2023 after a long illness.  She passed surrounded by her Family in her Tecolote home.

Rosary service will be recited on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at 7:00pm at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Tecolote, New Mexico. Funeral mass will be conducted on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 9:00 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, New Mexico.

Interment will follow the Tecolote Cemetery in Tecolote, New Mexico with the following serving as pallbearers: Roy Pacheco, Samuel Salazar, Derick Salazar, Raymond Salazar, Flor Pacheco, and Phil (Jr.) Pacheco. Honorary Pallbearers: Francisco Salazar and Valentin Salazar.
