Obituary

Frances "Connie" Trujillo of Cleveland, New Mexico, went to be with her Lord and Savior at sunrise on March 28, 2026. She went peacefully, surrounded by her family.

Connie's legacy of kindness and love was not only known by her family but by all whose lives she touched. She was a very loving and faithful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, friend, and neighbor. Her pride and joy were her family and she loved spending as much time with them as she could. Anyone she encountered immediately realized how special she was and loved her so much. She was the closest you could get to an angel here on Earth. Her compassion, gentleness, sincerity, generosity and unconditional love truly defined who she was. She was a faithful and active member of the Mora Christian Center for over 25 years. Her faith in Jesus was woven into the fabric of her life and guided and sustained her. She made sure to impart her faith to her family, the people around her, and those she met. She served the Mora community in the Public Health Office as a clerk specialist for 25 years from 1972-1997. This was yet another way her wonderful life impacted so many lives. She also enjoyed her many hobbies: cooking, baking, crocheting, sewing, reading, and sitting in the company of her beloved Joe.

Connie was born on July 24, 1939 to Eliza (Olguin) and Modesto Sisneros in Las Vegas, New Mexico.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved in-laws Leandro and Maxine Trujillo, grandmother Francesquita Sisneros, Tio Juan and Tia Elena Olguin, and her siblings Roman and Lucille.

Connie is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Joe Trujillo. Her memory also lives on in her daughters Diana Lujan (Ron) and Patricia Regensberg (Bengie) and her brother Rudy Sisneros. Her pride and joy were her seven granddaughters, Dorothea, Shawna (Wesley), Kimberly (DeOnte), Shawntel (Stephen), Kathryn (Daniel), Shenyse (Bill), and Sh'nae (Ben). She was blessed with 11 great grandchildren- Kaela, Patrick Derek, Story, Johnathon, Phoenix, Eliette, Elyse, McKenna, Kai, London, and Aurora. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren lovingly knew her as" Grammie", "Grandma Doll" and "Nana".

She is survived by so many that loved her but a few dear to her  were her cousins Janet and Robert, Monica and Nelson, God-daughters Janel and Amelia, close friends: Nancy and Ernesto, Sandra and Cresencio.

She is in the arms of her Savior and her absence will be felt by many. She was so beautiful inside and out and the world is a little dimmer without her light. In the words of little Ernesto Arellano (8 years old) "Wasn't my Connie just the best? I love her!" This truly summarizes who she really was to everyone.
